It's not "much more specific information". It's hearsay and allegation.
No half decent Comms/PR advisor will encourage any entity to engage with this sort of junk. It's just feeding the trolls. A waste of time and money and bringing attention to something that likely is half baked or complete fabrication or, if true is likely subject to constraints on making any statement by all parties involved and best left to quietly die of old age and the world moving on to newer, better stories.
