There is a lot of pressure on clubs to make purchases based on these big tournaments, to be seen as getting the new star etc.

I think realistically, anything over a million with a decent sell on clause is good value - what will determine it more than anything is how many clubs make inquiries. If it's just one or two, there isn't much room to manoeuvre, but if 7 or 8 start calling, then the NIX will be able to drive a harder bargain.

I fully expect both Singh and Cacace to go after this tournament. I thought that before the tournament started and having seen the way they have dominated, I can't see it not happening.

So the Nix could soon be down to 5 signed players? Imagine the angst that will cause only 5 months out from season start!

Actually it would be less than ideal, losing the clubs two most promising exciting players together.

I reckon Cacace could generate the bigger offer. As others say quality left backs are scarce, and any club doing their research from the just completed A League season would find out that he rarely has a bad game now. Pretty damn consistent and still young.

Singh not so consistent.

A lot will depend on remaining U20 tourney games. Two matches to date is a small sample to judge a player.

Maybe Nix cash in on Cacace, but don't sell Singh unless it's an equally good offer, esp in light of Burgess having gone.

Then Talay seeks a replacement LB. Deklan Wynne (if Rapids look to have a post season cleanout), and the kid from Perth maybe.
