Krishna took a full season as a pro before he was a league level.
Is be happy to take a risk on Semmy if we had a kiwi or au striker who we were sure would get to high double figures but we don't. We're better to wait until January now, unless Semmy was happy with a contract which has a performance clause for the January window.
Even if Semmy takes a year to get up to speed then we take the hit on that year's development now and get the payoff next season. If you look at Krishna's entire career for us then the period where he found his feet seems to have been completely worth it. Any import striker at this stage will be a massive gamble anyway.
