What is an issue though, is should this group at any point find themselves in charge of the Phoenix, is whether they would run and support the club with the same drive and passion that Terry runs it with. I think some people here underestimate the level of commitment that Terry has to the club, and that such level of commitment from an owner is by no means a given should we have to have a change of ownership at some point down the line.

I actually feel quite sad at the idea of Terry Serepisos not being involved in the Phoenix and I still hope it doesn't come to that.
While it's great news to hear that there seems to be a safety net in place, I am also feeling quite cynical about the timing of this announcement and the impact it will have on Terry's chances of stitching up a deal with his creditors.
As others have alluded to I think that his creditors are now much more likely to play hard-ball and say to Terry "no way are we doing a deal with you while you are still under-writing the Phoenix" because they will take the view that he now has no reason to do that (they probably would have taken that view anyway, of course!).
As El Grap points out being a good owner is not just about the money. I know that the doom-merchants have been crying out for certainty through all of this but getting rid of Terry and becoming owned by John Morrision's mysterious "coalition of the willing" feels like an even bigger leap into the unknown to me.
Maybe when I've heard the other names and they've made their first marquee signing I'll feel better.
In the meantime, all the best Terry, I hope you can pull this off.
