A name is better than no names, though, isn't it? At least it gives what was a mysterious rumour a bit more credence, and if that means that there's now more certainty surrounding the club that can't be a bad thing.

As for the football knowledge of the owners of football clubs - how many of them actually know much about football? Around the world and here? That's not really an issue at all as far as I'm concerned - all it requires is that they find people who know a lot about football to run things for them (much as Terry did).

What is an issue though, is should this group at any point find themselves in charge of the Phoenix, is whether they would run and support the club with the same drive and passion that Terry runs it with. I think some people here underestimate the level of commitment that Terry has to the club, and that such level of commitment from an owner is by no means a given should we have to have a change of ownership at some point down the line.

Not a bad name to hear I think.

Re your last paragraph, I reckon anyone prepared to put in 400000 a year for 2 years knowing that they may not get it back must have a passion for the game, surely.

They may well bring good management skills, and different and better marketing skills as well.

Frankly it is the most positive news I have heard all year since Terry's financial difficulties were exposed. I still hope he can find a way out of this for himself, and also continue with the Nix.

As far as the Phoenix are concerned, it is only bring on the new season now, I am reassured that it will happen for us one way or the other
