but why all the hate for John Morrison?

It's not "conspiracy theory" or "hatred" to suggest that many people in Wellington don't like Terry S for whatever (maybe good) reason, are very keen to get him out of the Phoenix, and would have made the most of his financial crisis. Many people here have been saying for months that enough was enough and the sooner Terry could be persuaded to give up, the better - I don't think it's paranoid to suggest that certain members of the press and City Councillors agree and would have an interest in increasing the amount of fear, uncertainty and doubt about Century City in the media and among creditors.

To suggest that people have an agenda doesn't mean it's a bad one. If you agree that Terry S should have probably given up the Nix when the IRD came for him at the beginning of this year, then if Dave Burgess, John Morrison, Matt Nippert and (?) Rob Morrison have been managing media coverage to maximise the discomfort of Terry's creditors, then they are heroes.
Fair enough. I take those points.
It just seemed to me that people were automatically lumping JM in the same boat as Burgess, Nippert etc (i.e. trying to chop down Terry) whereas I just don't see it that way. They would have written articles regardless of what any councillors thought. But of course, that's just the way I've been reading it.
