I remain a staunch TS fan for one reason only- he had the nuts to resurrect the Phoenix when they were in a pile of sh*t.By that simple reason , he's given Jr and me the BEST time when we go to home games. We've met TS at some open days , he's always been friendly and approachable.All the Phoenix players we've met have been the same and for JR, a football mad 9 year old , that's just huge. I don't give a f..k if he's as dodgy as a dodgy thing , doesn't matter.In some years time when Jr and I aren't talking , both he and I will be able to remember the HUGE fun we've had at the Caketin , wearing stripeys and the rest , yelling , clapping , groaning...Nothing TS does from here will take this away from us and if it wasn't for TS , we wouldn't have had those times.
HAving said that , IF the stories about an unpaid coache are true , then maybe he does need to let go.How many of us would work for less than what we're supposed to be paid, seriously??
I hope TS can get his sh*t together and remains the owner. But if he can't , I'd hope he could recognise that and step aside gracefully.I'm with News when he hopes FFA shows him some respect.
I don't give a damn about Councillor Morrison ( needs some front page publicity , is there a council election soon?) or Dow ( probably after a finder's fee). But I do give a damn about the Phoenix .
Jr and I will be at every home game again ; I've also promised him an away trip.
