I  presume the'new' owners can do what they like with the team/club as long as they cough up the moolaa.
Different name/home/strip etc will be on the cards if they so desire.
 
The Phoenix brand might be the collaterall damage in all this mess...


The FFA own the Phoenix brand so it's not quite as simple as that (in fact, this is the basis of my argument that the A-League "owners" aren't owners at all, but more like funders or franchise holders - but that's a rant for another day).

If the new owners expressed any desire to the FFA to re-brand that alone would be sufficient evidence to me that they don't have a clue about "owning" a football club and should be told to f**k off.
