I think the appointment of a development coach and assembling a development team to play against the NZ ASB cup teams is significantly more important than these. Lets Ricki watch younger guys, keep non-first team members match fit and bring back guys from injury more easily.
I'm assuming Ricki has 20 players lined up by this stage, just holding up to see if some last minute improvements can be made. We may have missed out on a couple of players due to funds and uncertainty, only a couple of people would know for sure. It's entirely possible we would have missed out on Riegters with different backers. The fact that there are other backers in place will help with the uncertainty without them doing anything.
Is a goalkeeping coach really that important? Both our keepers are old salts, not sure it matters too much, with the budget tight I think this was a sensible area to refrain on.
Nathan is a full time CEO. He doesn't have another job as far as I am aware. Whether he is a permanent CEO is another matter, but he seems to be doing a pretty good job in difficult circumstances.
I'm not familiar with what backroom staff are needed. Obviously marketing could do with a lift, and if done well should pay for itself. Needs to be done well though. Do we have physiotherapists etc?
