Yellow Fever member Guy Smith said today ushered in an exciting era for the club.

''Most of all I am relieved the club will continue and have a bit more stability than its had in the past six months because it is so important to the game in New Zealand.

''It is fantastic that there are these Wellington people, who aren't necessarily football fans, who recognise the value of the club and are willing to put their money up for the greater good of the city  just like Terry did.''

Mr Smith recognised it was a sad day for Mr Serepisos.

''I hope now that we can move on from his ownership people will give him the glory he deserves.''
