But the business case doesn't stack up.  If you make it a regular event then the novelty value is gone and those crowds will return to Wellington sized crowds.  As already stated, Christchurch dropped of 5k between two games, Dunedin 10k.

Every chance this will cost more money (travel, accomadation, venues) and alienate the fan base they have.  There is highly unlikely to be any win in this for them.
