thery resorted to some long ball direct stuff sure, but that was only after they were three nl down after trying to play a passing, posession game. I'm not placing the blame solely on Gareth I'm just asking if he had defence in his total football game plan.


These guys are professional footballers, you can't use the excuse that they have been asked to pass the ball around for the drop in form. It's a fundamental part of the game for goodness sake, if they can't do it then they may as well retire.
