the players were going to get a Welnix presentation on their five year plan prior to leaving for Oz. They got told by one particular player that getting told what will be happening at the club in five years isn't really of relevance to them - they won't be here. What is important is digging out of this rut right now and getting the three. Meeting abandoned (maybe they should have had the meeting haha)

Interesting, seems like there is a bit of a ruction between the players and Welnix happening.
Yeh, they are saying this aint going to work for them.  True for a number, but with a different midfield next week things could be different. (imho and as I think I said elsewhere, Manny, Sanchez and Ifill in midfield, brings the right mix, but not sure we will see it)

This mini rebellion just says a number of them who don't want to play this way, and can't, shouldn't make the cut next year.

But surprising Welnix didn't get that a five year plan is of no use to the players.  That tells me

1) they are/were more hopeful of the current bunch being able to improve, than the players themselves and we are
2) they are a little adrift of the immediate focus  of most football players (and fans)
3) Welnix should now realise that a number of these players are and probably know they are dog tucker and that has made for a morale problem in the side.

Fine when you are signing a guy for them to know the system and style they expect to play in and their role in that.  Trouble is these guys were signed with other ideas.
