I agree with Austin 10 also, and think Gareth answered some of the rubbish on here and in the papers well. Some pathetic responses in reply to it - and some good ones, like Nik and Steve

There is some inconsistent modding lately, you cant slag off and abuse the players but the owners are fair game?

Kim Dotcom, that's desparate. We are not desparate, we have a solid group of owners, and they want this to succeed, we werent under the old system, good on them/the coaching staff for calling a change

My suggestion of Big Kimmy DC was tongue-in-cheek, but I stand by expressing my concerns about the model of ownership we currently have.
I disagree that Gareth was just "answering rubbish" - even if that was his intention the way he said it was far too defensive and antagonistic. He's alienating fans and the broader public, and acting all high and mighty about how much he knows about football is just bizarre. If he wants to run a profitable football club then making public statements in that vein should probably be avoided. How many casual fans has that outburst cost the club? What does this big sh*tstorm do to player morale? If the players then play worse, how many more fans will stop turning up? How long will it take to repair the damage to the club's brand?
Fans are key stakeholders in the club. They are the customers, the people who buy the club's product. Anyone who's worked a crappy customer service job knows the phrase "the customer is always right". Maybe Gareth should think of that. doesn't mean he has to listen to criticism and take it on board. it just means he shouldn't tell his customers pathetic and unsophisticated, and say that the don't know anything about the product they are purchasing. When you work a crappy customer service job, you learn to b*tch about the idiot customers behind their backs, not to their faces.
