I cannot believe that people are somehow turning this into an issue with the Dom Post.
I can believe it, unfortunately.
I think those people haven't heard the audio of the interview. I'm usually one of the first people to bash the Dom Post, but in this case they are not the ones in the wrong.
Yep - it would be good top get a link to that interview (sorry - missed it if was posted), to hear how the message was presented. Because looking at the DP article I really can't see why people are getting so upset at the actual quotes attributed to Gareth.
Oddly enough my real angst is similar to Ballane's - at what point do the Phoenix become the Greater Wgtn Phoenix.
Do you think Gareth's comments will
a) encourage people to come along and watch the Phoenix, or
b) discourage them, and result in less people coming that would have otherwise, and also result in people, like Tegal posted above, feeling detached from the club.
If you answered, b), I think you'll see what the problem is.
I've already posted much earlier how detached I am from the club (not the team) this season. Gareth's comments are his and he acknowledges that he hasn't talked to the other owners.
Chotey's comments (and News') are spot on I think.

They are if they don't care either way.
But you're missing my point, which is about damage to the club, not about being butthurt. I'm mad about the damage Gareth is doing, not that I, personally, have been labelled "pathetic", whether or not this is true. Your argument seems to be that no-one should care about the comments; shouldn't and won't are two different things. People obviously do care about them.
