Nah nah you still get paid any money you earn in addition to a minimum of what ever the UBI is. So if you earn 100k you get paid 10k(or whatever UBI is) and your 100k (after tax) as the cleaner gets whatever he gets paid and the UBI. Both taxed at the same rate I believe. (the incomes not the UBIs, the UBIs are not taxed.)
Still capitalism but everyone has a minimum amount they will have to live on and spend into the economy. I think Gareth liked it for eliminating the minimum wage. I think it would allow for fewer unskilled jobs to serve more unskilled workers by allowing for them work part-time while still acquiring enough of an income to to have a disposable income to spend into the economy.
