Let's cut Gareth some slack, guys. Stop complaining, He's fronted up and put his money into our club.

Just because he knows bugger all about football but makes broad, sweeping statements about how it should and shouldn't be played is no reason to say nasty things about him

Just because he labels fans as pathetic and unsophisticated, and questions their knowlede of the game, is no reason to say nasty things about him.

Just because he wants results but doesn't appear to want to spend on strengthening the team is no reason to say nasty things abouit him.

Just because the marketing of the club and games seems to be non-existent is no reason to say nasty things about him.

Supporters daring to say less than complimentary things about the man at the top? Disgraceful! Who do they think they are. Ungrateful swines.

I think you have kinda summed it up in a nutshell. To coin a phrase of an album title '5,227,706 Scotsmen Can't Be Wrong!' Its funny how many fans are very much aligned to the thinking above (reading the forum) but we are the ones that have no idea what we are talking about, need to pipe down and just front up every week.
I kinda draw a parallel with Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares. Owners that are losing cash, have not a clue about what is going on in their business and put out rubbish product because they think they know better and generally refuse to acknowledge the issues or listen to feedback from the customers. Then wonder why their business is in the toilet. Does this sound familiar?

Sadly, yes. I posted an article on Facebook recently about my first love Partick Thistle. On the bones of their arse, got a new board of directors and a new Chairman. A group of people who, by their own admission, knew bugger all about football. The new board had a long term plan, the club was leaking money and losing fans, previous board members and chairmen had been villified and even despised by the fans. That sound familiar?

Now, we have a great chance of winning promotion back to the SPL, the Club has forged strong links with the fans and the local community, crowds are up. Things are looking good. It can be done, but the people at the top have to acknowledge their limitations and listen to people who know more about football than they do. No-one is arguing with what Gareth and the other 8 want to achieve, but when he screws up publicly, then he deserves to be criticised for it.
