I wonder what Fox losing the EPL rights to Optus does to the equation?
Also wonder what collapsing ratings does for the Value of an FFA TV deal.
How does the EPL rate for Fox though? Does this force them to put a premium on what they are prepared to pay for the A League in order to keep it, regardless of ratings? Or does it diminish the value of football to them in general? Who else is in the market for the A League? Optus?
If you just get those answers to me asap it would help relieve my migraine.
Thought this comment from 442 was interesting:
"this is a massive blow for the a-league unless Fox sink money in. All the hosts and dual programs will now be gone. The a-league lead in to epl will be gone, and the wider exposed audience is finished.
Fox will not be able to justify having all their pundits and programming with only 1 football league. Either fox put more cash into A-league or it's not looking good."
