Theoretically every single team could say no to the extra players, and this whole thing would be pointless. We still get to have 4 players getting game time, so it isn't pointless. NYL teams get 3 overage players, so we are doing better than that in a way.

Thing is it's a lot of time, cost and expense to get 4 guys a few games in the ASBP.  Messy situation, these (U20s) are the exact guys we want playing and developing.  I'd like to see heads knocked together on this for the good of the game here, U20 guys have to be playing and they are always going to be kiwis.  Otherwise you have a team which is a bunch of really young guys, some local filler plus squad players which isn't going to be a very competitive side
