Brisbane paper is calling John McKain as signing for the Phoenix (see front page news) and Gold Coast 'talking' to Karl Dodd.
I have not heard of John McKain, but Wikipedia (you have to search for Jonathan McKain, otherwise it will automatically direct you to the page for US presidential candidate John McCain) says:

He has represented Australia and made three appearances at the 2005 Confederations Cup in Germany. He also represented Australia at the 2004 Olympics.
