Following on from the capture of Jon McKain, Wellington Phoenix are set to pull off their second major signing coup in the form of Hartlepool United attacker Joel Porter.
Timisoara defender McKain agreed terms over a Bosman deal with Phoenix last week and fellow Australia international Porter is set to join the A-League club in a similar deal.
Like McKain, Porter is at the peak of his career and has chosen to join Phoenix ahead of more lucrative offers to remain in Europe.
