I've probably missed a little of this guys story but I understand that he has had serious injuries and can (but hasn't scored goals). Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't that El**chs back story as well?
Porter has had more than his share of injuries but has a solid scoring record and over a 100 league game starts at Hartlepool - I guess you pay your money and take your chances (risk is injury, reward is goals).

From what I've read about Porter and seen of El**ch their attitudes are like chalk and cheese. The Hartlepool fans love Porter's commitment and passion and Elrick is a lazy, useless ....
Just checked out that Porter profile. Porter is only a little bloke...175cm, which is about as tall as my granny( mind you she is shiite in front of goal...but she dribbles real good!!!!)
Hope he doesn't get monstered by all those thugs disguised as defenders in the A-League. Especially if he has dodgy knees. Funny how we have gone for lots of good wingers like Gao, Hearfield, Daniel and Berthos who are good at crosses and then are (potentially) recruiting a short striker??????
