A good striker is vital and I don't think anyone can dispute that. It's not being negative saying that - it's being realistic. Saying that everything is fine and dandy when we haven't even heard about the strikers we might be signing (apart from the fact it's probably going to be a current A-League striker like Kwasnik) is a bit silly.Just because you question our approach to finding strikers doesn't mean you are a pessimistic sod who hates the club. .....

Though to be honest right back probably worries me more than striker. (though it's a common problem for most clubs it seems)

Exactly right on both points.

If Tony and Ricki didn't think we would have benefited significantly from paying the $s required to sign Porter we wouldn't have gone after him. We missed him - we need to learn the lesson (know your targets true contractual status), dust ourselves off and go get another Porter. I'm sorry but I will be pissed off if the best we can come up with to replace Porter is another A-league clubs reject.

I am also worried about right back - we have only one specialist wing back in the team so if Lochead gets injured we are down to 2 makeshift wing backs. I can't fathom why we are not targeting another wing back instead of a second striker.

Having said that - once the season starts that is all behind us and onwards and upwards.
