Tablemanners, the flaw in your argument is that there have only been four or five players at the most who have attracted a transfer fee. The clubs are set up to win football games, not develop players. To those putting up the money this is a big investment, they aren't doing it out of the goodness of their hearts, they are out there to win. And thats the only attitude that's going to win trophies which surely is the point of the club.
