I presume Stein was unavailable (?), in which case I'm not sure how much we can give Ricki credit for the tactics and formation change - pretty much forced on him. May be unfair to jump to that conclusion, but I wonder.

He's failed to make that change in two games when it would have made a difference
I guess he could have played Ifill and Brockie up front, and Fenton and Totori wide, or Boyd and Brockie up front, but hardly likely
and he's been reluctant to make changes in the past until it's been forced on him
so I think there is good reason to ask the question, would Ricki have done this if Stein was available?
(and, as I asked, I presume Stein was not)
no big deal, but i think it's a valid question and not unfair at all
but, as I said, it WOULD be unfair to jump to the conclusion that Ricki definately wouldn't have made the change if Stein was available
I'd like to think Ricki was proactive on this one, but there are plenty of reasons to have some doubts about that
