I find it hard to believe that the club/stadium and/or FFA could have worked something out. I know the owners want to make money (fair enough)
BUT, having been a season ticket holder since season one, I have never felt so pissed off with the club. It's the longest off-season in the world (or it sure feels that way) and then they come back to the fans for one week then fuck off til December.
I grudgingly accept that away games in NZ might make some more money but treating the Wellington fan base with a bit more thought in terms of the timing of their infidelity might be something that the owners wan't to think about.
Normally, this close to the start of the season I'd be talking up the club at work, wearing the scarf most days and the shirt on Fridays, tweeting it up etc etc
this season, nah - not until after the December return - if at all.
(and don't expect fans to be rational - we are not)
