Honestly I have no idea why you bring up that point (and the good old philosophy 101 fallacy call), as in exactly one post before I literally posted "Can CCM win? Of course they can". I'm not fudgeing stupid.

The point is that we were 10th last year when we beat Melbourne Victory, who were play off material.

We can lose to these guys and still be playoff material, and a team can be not terrible but just not good enough and have faff all points.  A couple of games have come down to one silly error or just the way some calls go.  They can be bottom of the table and not be terrible, just not be as good as the rest.

It only takes them to play out of their skin, and us drop our defense just enough for CCM to be the best team on the field, and we can still be finals contenders if we recover from it next week.

You make a good point, I'll concede that.

I still believe:

a) that CCM are terrible and the results at the end of the season will reflect that.

and

b) that the Nix going into the game with confidence that they will win rather than an underdog attitude is a good thing.
