Love it every time I see Aleague live here, the build up, the tactical approaches, cheering the team on, hard swallowing the result tho.
Dissapointed to see the ball held back so often by a winger when a break was made, not sure why they didnt press ahead, take it to the line. Gave the defense time to regroup.
And the number of times that it got passed back to Moss when we got pressed in midfield, who then does longball up the field and we lost possession. Frustrating. Compared to some of the other games I saw this weekend we have a lot to learn there.
We were sharper with Finkler on. Seems to me that Roly is a great technical solo player but doesnt link well with his other forwards, they dont make runs with him on the ball. Plus he loses his rag easily, and becomes ineffective then.
I know they are loved on here as Kiwis, but Kosta has always had a poor touch, and is not going to be the great finisher we need.
Smeltz, someone said he was great, well I thought he was very dissappointing. Did nothing all night. He got antzy with the WSW player being subbed and then lost it to get a 2nd yellow. I was disappointed the YF cheered him off, he didnt deserve it, not thinking about the team. Will prove to be a waste of a purchase at the seasons end I think.
My brother in law came with me to the game, a rugby supporter, he could see that WSW had more class in their play, and deserved the win.
