Before the game I was downtown and some kid yelled out "Hope the Nix win". I don't know if his parents and he were at the game but it was a positive and was great to hear.

Two days now and despite the result and I think about an earlier comment I made, if we have to have the teavelling circus, can we have 1 game in New Plymouth and 1 game in Napier.

Easy to travel to, within the Wellington region and fans from both areas regularly travel down to Wellies for games.

I quite like this idea. Game in Napier could be during U19s weekend, and New Plymouth on a long weekend. the problem with this is itd take time to build as a tradition which relies on the FFA to give us the fixture every season - which they do for some teams in australia, but doubt they would for us. Plus a late season game in Auckland to hopefully cash in with a big crowd if we are having a good season.

Building on tradition could be a great area to focus on. If only there was a traditional fixture that was always on that could be exploited to garner more support.

I wish there was a game in Melbourne on the day before the first Tuesday in November every year that could be promoted, that could work, if only the FFA would schedule this fixture each year!
