We won't switch to a back three after one game, maybe we never use it at all, but man I wish we would change to something like this.

The only difference in that squad is Sotirio out for Hudson-Wihongi (anyone in for Sotirio is a good move really). We all want Libby and Louis to not have to worry about getting back quite as much as they have to in a back four, and shifting Davila into the middle would mean he wouldn't get lost drifting out wide so often. With the 4-2-2-2 we saw on the weekend it seemed like we had 3 players on each wing at times, with nobody in the middle. It won't happen, but I really want to see us back to a back three

Yeah this is beautiful. TAHW's most suitable position too imo so will soften the, uhh, blow of losing Sotirio. Ufuk's definitely most comfortable with the 4-2-2-2 so I don't mind him tweaking it to suit our players.

Would love to see Fenton and Cacace push much, much higher up with the ball (to the point they did last season) and Steinmann sinking back into a defensive three once he's got rid of the ball and got it forward. Fenton and Cacace bust a gut to get back (Cacace certainly has the engine for it when we lose possession. Rufer acting like a bulldog in midfield when without possession, with Ball dropping back to support Rufer and Davila in midfield to overwhelm the opposition's likely attempts to counter-attack. Our import striker (hopefully a big guy with pace) sticks up front harrassing the back line. That way when with the ball, we can choose to either hoof it to the target man with the onrushing Fenton and Cacace cutting inside (something Cacace likes to do), or buildup by filtering the ball to Steinmann and working opportunities like we did last season.
