Not sure I buy the spin about how we should forgive and forget about Rudan. That isn't generally how football supporters operate, in my opinion. In the majority of cases, if someone craps on your club, you tend to remember it. Yeah, he did good things while he was with us, no doubt about that. However, he also feathered his own nest and lined up a new job and (it would appear) was involved in discussing (at least) player movements from our team to another, while he was contracted to, and being paid by, us.He talked a lot and said all the right things but, at the end of the day, for me he appears to be lacking in the integrity dept. It all worked out well for us in the end but would we have been so forgiving if it had all gone tits up with the appointment of a new coach?
I'm not losing a lot of sleep over him or what he did. As far as I'm concerned, we now have a real rivalry with another club in the league, rather than one which has been manufactured by the FFA for us. So, I don't hate him but I don't regard him as a saint either. Forgiving and forgetting are 2 quite different things.
