I see a lot of heavy stuff on here about McCowatt and I suspect 95 per cent is bull.

I'm sure he could have played in pub football in scandavia this year if he was inclined.

I don't know what he was offered in terms of contract length (and I suspect 95 per cent here don't know either) but would imagine he liked a one year contract as it allows him to play in Tokyo and if he fires allows him freedom to get a gig overseas at a reasonable level with no transfer fee complicating things.

That's just common sense.

He has done ok and based upon his performance this year would likely be offered another deal by the nix.

If he doesn't fire at Tokyo that is what he would take verses pub football.
