Some of you think he did but watch the tape again. Never beat his man once and I think its cause he does not have the pace to do so. If that's the case, why keep repeating? Why not whip it especially when about 3 times, I counted at least 2 yellow bodies in the box.

What is the point in Fenton crossing for McGlinchey and Burns when they have Spiranovic and Topor-Stanley?

I think what I am getting at is that variety is needed. He tried to beat his man but did not. Agree with the point you make but the odd low cross whipped in then means you are not predictable and those low crosses are not height dependent. When you lack creativity in the front third (and people say it does not look like it is clicking) then you try something else. When was the last time you saw a midfielder get the ball at his feet 30 out, look up and just fucking rifle it on goal, even if to make the keeper work, or a follow up deflection or maybe even a goal. I guess the point of my example is that there was the opportunity to try something different, but he kept running at Adelekekekeke or whatever his name was. Sometimes in the heat of battle, it needs someone to go 'we need to mix it up'. The goal..  when was the last time you saw the Phoenix score a goal like that? Normally Krishna/whoever smashes that into row z.

Isn't this because of how narrow we are playing? Our midfield and attack is compressed in the middle of the park, so the opposition defend narrow too and then there's a lot less opportunities to shoot from distance because there's always players (from either team) between the ball and the goal. The way the team has been set up in the last couple of games our attacking approach seems to be that we try to unpick them with fluid passing in the middle until one of our midget forwards gets a tap into an open goal. If that doesn't work then plan b is to try to unpick them with fluid passing in the middle until one of our midget forwards gets a tap into an open goal. Because of the personnel and shape of our setup there's not a lot of variety in our attacks.

If we started blasting shots from 30 yards out, (lia-stylee), zinging over the goal,  you'd never hear the last of it on here.
