I feel like Boyd has been hyped beyond all recognition. He was chucked in the first team very early but still had a couple of seasons to stake a claim. He looked decent but didn't deliver many goals or assists for someone playing as a forward. He scored 2 off the bench in one game and a flurry in a couple of ASBP games but he's not done that since in Portugal so it's safe to say that was just a really hot streak rather than a sign of his actual level. Yet people still seem to talk about him like he's a great untapped talent.
I'd rather we just gave Parkhouse and Rogerson more game time and maybe gave Fenton chance to come back as a winger than spending money on getting Boyd back.

100% agreed. Parkhouse is barely a professional level footballer. I would have Boyd every day of the week.

No coincidence that our best prospects have left the Nix for other A-League clubs. We don't do enough to keep them.
