Really hoping we will be able to play in the FFA Cup. We could really get some competitive games ahead of the new season. All Blacks went over without having to do quarantine and played Bledisloe Cup.

Still obviously a bit tricky with the various different state borders, and how they currently differently treat folks flying in from NZ.

ABs didn't do hard quarantine in Perth (maybe was hotel-train-hotel scenario), but Sam Whitelock after the birth of his latest kid has flown into Brisbane, and is having to do 2 weeks solitary hard hotel quarantine. And he's come from ChCh, which hasn't seen a community Covid case since forever.

Sounds like a decision on where/when A League will start is about 2-3 weeks away (end of Sept), with a mid Nov start date now mentioned. Nix could fly over a 3-4 weeks beforehand (so early-mid October), to get some proper warmup games (FFA Cup?), plus then have any new visa signings (also Piscopo & Pennington??) join them there.

Seems no point now having Piscopo & Pennington fly into NZ for 2 weeks MIQ. Same any new visa signings.
