Gotta get the rest of the Aussie states to open up before they worry about NZ mate
Well A League are ruling out a hub(s) so you will have to have interstate travel.
If anything it could be teams from those states, with little/no Covid (so Roar, Glory & Adelaide) who like Nix have to relocate to NSW or VIC (where combined 8 of the league's teams are) early season. Like yes Glory last season.
But you currently have VIC & NSW AFL teams, playing finals interstate in Tas, SA, QLD & WA. So sporting team travel exemptions are already possible within Aussie, and will only improve with increasing vaccination numbers.
How the Nix's season pans out now, will have more to do with what NZ Govt decides upon, than what's happening within Aus. Aus is moving towards a 'living with Covid' model. That is now a given - if yes earlier than they really desired.
