Isuzu and Isuzu ute are different companies.

Eh? That’s just mental. But okay that makes some sense then. And a ute is better than Uber Eats, imo. Poor contracts, plus near monopolist power and obesity crisis. Unless I check and see how unevironmentally friendly they are, the utes are much better.
EDIT: wait they have retired the Holden brand in Aussie for Isuzu Ute?   Or have I got that confused? That is just odd thinking, Shirley!
Yeah, Isuzu Ute Australia and Isuzu are different companies.

Holden's were re-badged Isuzu's and for the last couple of years both companies sold identical vehicles but with different names.

But, you're right, GM getting rid of a beloved brand like Holden, and replacing it with "Isuzu Ute'" doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
