Looks like any small chance of some home games this season, fully dead & buried now. Personally I don't understand why vaccinated Aussies won't be allowed in sans MIQ until July.

Yet Kiwis living in Aus will be allowed in with no MIQ, 4 months earlier??? Don't really get the Covid/science logic behind that.

New Zealand citizens in Australia will be able to skip MIQ and enter New Zealand from 11.59pm on Sunday the 27th of February, Stuff understands.

From March 13 New Zealand citizens from the rest of the world are expected to be able to return under similar conditions.

Then in July the country is expected to open up to non-citizens from visa-waiver countries – like Australia, the USA, and UK, before the rest of the world joins them in October.

It's the same going the other way too.  Only Aussie based or work visa kiwis allowed in there.  Both countries prioritising the millions of nationals they have shafted through Covid border restrictions over other countrie's people who will in the main be tourists, rightly or wrongly.
