I note today some guy got 12 months home detention for ripping off a large sum. Here. I bet he too has an amount hidden somewhere. All these people whom get snapped make sure they have some sort of back-up plan.
In Terry's case, he lost not just a business empire but loads of real estate etc. Any money raised from those sales should have gone to those businesses putting in claims. personally, I would have paid the smaller businesses off first to keep them going. but that's just me.
In this latest thing, if Terry is getting paid to do these things then where is the problem? Someone else's money is paying for it? Terry doesn't have the personality to stay "hidden" for long. It not his style. I'm sure he regrets his past actions like any other successful businessman that falls over and there have been some noteable names toppled in the last two years.
The issue I have is with the Dompost almost making it a singular crusade on nailing Terry. I just wish they had supported chasing after certain other well off yet questionable businesses & businessmen. Another thing that bugged me was that any details of one's claims or debts with ACC are covered under the client privelege scenario. ACC cannot go to the press about your personal issues (Except when leaked via e-mail) yet they did just that in terry's case with the phoenix. No one got held accountable for that leak.
Terry - the Phoenix person as describe a few messages back & Terry the Businessman. that was a good analogy. I can't thank him enough for his participation in getting the Phoenix founded and running. I do have concerns about him not paying his debts in his ex business empire. bankruptcy these day appears to be the only punishment followed by public vilification....and of course Home Detention that has been given out in a few cases. If the system sucks, do something about it or at least suggest on here what you think should be done. One example I always think of is Donald Trump. Nothing - Billionaire - Nothing - Billionaire again.
