Sorry been away from the tablet for a few days. In reference to Patrick's question, what did Dome say about our protest? Most of that has been already answered on here but I think the only part of the answer missing is how did Dome take it, the protest.
Dome expressed words to the effect that he respected our passion and our position of making an attempt at a statement of disatisfaction. He admired our passion and our ongoing support since day one of the Phoenix.
Yes he knew the three of us from various encounters in the past. He hopefully has forwarded our concerns to his bosses, he also appreciates that there are a lot of fans out there whom do not use this website nor are a part of the fever so to speak, that are not happy with games going out of Wellington. So that is pretty much it.
We also chatted about other things, not related to the club as per second but football in general. Some people forget Dome is an in general big football fan and is happy to talk about it on any topic. He does have a good sense of humour and although he and I may not agree on a few things in regards to the Nix, I would like to think there is a mutual respect on hose points.
The protest on the 25th is going ahead, to again reinforce our feelings. It won't bring the game back to Wellington but it will show consistency in our beliefs. Again, I give EVERYONE an open invitation to join in this protest. It is not aimed at the players, it is not aimed at the departing coach, it is not aimed at David Dome. Pea eful protest that the game was taken away from Wellington with little notice or consideration for those whom may have made or paid for travel plans etc.
I'm glad he took your concerns on board and that you were able to have a civil discussion with him. Even if it was over a free can of Garage Project ;)
