At the risk of pissing off Patrick, I will repeat again what I said just a few days ago:

... "My argument was that we do not prevent teams from scoring (....) we have not won a game this season if the opposition team scored at least once. We do not win if the other team scores at least one goal. Does that not make you think? I would not mind not keeping a clean sheet as long as we score more goals than the other team. (....)"

I simply do not expect that Greenie and Des in charge will give us any improvement over what Ernie has done regarding the above.

While I also disliked Mark Bosnich' comments about us after the Jets' game, I think we are all well aware that we have a perfect example of a glass ceiling here. We have to work twice as hard to get any success in the league, can't play in the AFC Champions League, and have to put up with unreasonable criticism from Aussie punters and pundits alike. And what's more important, nobody is begging us to be there - we are tolerated at best. Hence anyone thinking that "more of the same" is going to win us any respect at FFA is dreaming. That is why we need to either set our aim higher than this mediocrity being peddled to us as class, or just pack away our stripey supporters' gear for good and just watch other teams on telly while saying loudly that "the A-League just does not rate".
