Ryan de Vries came here in 2008 and is 23 so is surely eligible for NZ (unless the stints at Bentleigh count as breaking his residency). In any case, if he's got a NZ passport he counts as a NZer as far as the A-League is concerned.

Ryan de Vries is eligible for NZ - he's been here since 2009 and is 23 (unless they count the 9 game stint at Bentleigh as breaking the 5 years).
