What's interesting is that Greenacre mentioned that it was NZF's lack of involvement in the Phoenix that was threatening the extension - it was assumed that this was financial, but then why not bring up Sky TV? It also explains why recently there has been a flurry of articles about how NZF is not giving the Phoenix what they deserve for their contributions to NZ Football.
Is it entirely financial or are there other things that the FFA do for the teams? I know that they provide incentives to bring Australian Marquees home, but then that is also financial.
I read on another forum that Sky TV is not budging on price and that the Phoenix / FFA are looking for other options, of course this is most likely bullshark.
I stand corrected. Was listening to it at work and with only half a mind on each task.
Was your impression that it was just financial, i.e. that the FFA want NZF to pick up some of the Phoenix's cap?
