My two cents is that for repeat infringements by various people within a supports group, I think docking points is a perfectly reasonable course of action for the ffa to take. My thinking behind it is that because it effects the club, which is what these flaries hold dear to their hearts it more likely to have an impact on their behaviour vs 5yr bans. Which excludes them from the league and the club, which doesnt allow them to have their behaviour modified. 

But if the offences are committed by an individual repeatedly, then yes bans should be a tool used to sort them out
