Good pod.

Hopefully the min 7 Aussie player requirement for the Nix W League team is reduced (or done away with completely), when 2 extra teams (Western United & CCM) enter the W League next season. And yes is an Aussie comp after all.

I wouldn't be as gloomy on an A League start. All the talk seems to now be kicking off post the November FIFA window, so a few weeks delay. I reckon by then you will find lots of chat about the VIC-NSW border reopening to vaccinated people. Even discussion of a TT bubble reopening by Xmas, I reckon. Again for the vaccinated only.

AFL have a shark load more cash than the APL, but Victorian team Western Bulldogs the last few weeks have played their playoff games in Tasmania, Brisbane, Adelaide & will be in next weekend's GF in Perth. 9 days before their playoff game in Tassie they played a game in Melbourne sans a crowd. So travelled from VIC to Tassie in August and played 9 days later. They played 4 games in Melb, July-August without crowds.

Their GF opponents also from VIC, Melbourne Demons have played Adelaide, Perth & will be in Perth again for the big dance. 7 days before their playoff game in Adelaide they played in Geelong, Victoria. Prior to this they played Melb, Perth then Melb.

I don't follow AFL enough to know how they have been able to get their VIC teams travelling so much interstate. But I assume vaccinated teams, following strict bio security protocols.
