and in the midst of all this, Singh scored again in a 13-1 win. Though they were playing against guys that a YF team would challenge (hence the 61 year old Augenthaler in defense) so Bayern weren’t trying at all
Yeah League One’s a bit large to compare the whole thing to the A-League, same with the Championship. Look at a team like Rotherham, relegated from the second tier last year, and most A-League teams would take care of them imo.
Comparing to Germany’s 3. Liga though - we have Yeboah who was an average rotation piece over there and is an average rotation piece here, and Singh who was great here and is shaping up to be brilliant there. Overall reckon the A-League's better but this is skewed by the quality gap between Aussie/NZers and imports, hence my surprise that a Kiwi heads over and instantly 'tears up' the league
Augenthaler didn't play the whole game, wasn't on the field when I started watching midway through the first half and kitted up for Bayern in the 2nd half. Didn't see if he came on. Its basically a game in his honour, played at the stadium named after him.
Yeah started for Vilshofen but was subbed off probbaly halfway through the first half, came on for Bayern in the 78th minute
