LOLbit early to be thinking about any of that stuff. From every thing I have seen they seem to be happy with how he is progressing. Yet back here in NZ we just love to make sure them poppies don't get to big. Adesanya was on the mark with his comments. Could maybe understand the comments if he had been there for a couple years but come on.
That's not tall poppy syndrome, IMO. Tall poppy syndrome would be having a go at Singh if he won the ballon d'or. Singh has lots of potential but he obviously has a lot to work on to maximise that.
If anything, we raise concerns because we want them to succeed and with Singhs ceiling I personally have high expectations.
Anyway Singh's benching on the youth team could be a bit of pressure on him to perform, unless is for injury or rest. He started with a bang but has looked casual in the last few outings. As a first team prospect he cant be losing possession cheaply against 3rd tier opponents. I'm hoping he gets a chance against Schalke and lights it up or at least has a strong game for the youth.
