The coach doesn't pick the best players - easy as that.
The team needs a coach who knows who the best players are.
The following players shouldn't even be in the squad
Worst first:
Patterson - no.
Ridenton - gives the ball away.
Smith - too light
Rufer - not good enough.
Rogerson - has some ability but not A league level yet
The biggest problem is Ridenton.
I'll be blunt - starting Ridenton every week is like playing with 10 men vs 12. He gives the ball away. The opposition know this so they don't mark him - they want him to get the ball because he gives it back to them. He can't score open goals and loses the ball in dangerous positions. At times, plods aimlessly across the pitch - hides. Gives low quality passes to team mates. Good moves end when he gets the ball.
His team mates yell 'don't lose it' when he gets the ball.
The rest (and Cacache) are all decent players, some excellent ones.
