The charge up the table when Des and Greenie were at the helm took us to 7th place, 6 points and a Goal difference of 5 outside the top 6. In other words a country mile

Their First win in charge, a crushing 3 nil Home win win over that Powerhouse Central Coast, moved us from 10th to 8th place. The 17 remaining games the moved us from 8th to 7th.

The Games they were in charge, they had a notable wins against the Victory 3 nil (twice) and stuck 5 past the hapless Jest. The only other win we had against a top six side under them was a 2-1 win against the Roar.  During their tenure, we also suffered a 1-5 loss at home to City. This game was so bad Patrick and Dave have now dedicated a podcast to it and for some really bad sin they have committed they are subjecting themselves to watching it every week. We also lost 4-3 to the Roar, giving away a 3-1 lead.

So this romanticised rubbish that they lead a charge up the table and were unlucky to just miss out on the top 6 is rubbish really. We played some okay football at times but we also delivered up some absolute dross, scoring 34 and conceding 32. The fact is they lead us to a position where we probably should have been in the table, no more no less. Some good results some bad results nothing more.

We were a side that promised to be ok, proved to be unbalanced and finished where on balance we deserved to finish.
