My own observation is that we played better with the initial formation, until we went down a goal on CCM counter. My thought is that at that point Talay "blinked first" and reverted to his favourite 2-2-2, and while it looked OK on paper, with Payne going up to midfield, we got worse after that formation change, not better. I wonder if he had kept his nerve and continued in the same way we might have had a closer game than we did towards the end.
